This is the video that my group and I filmed, in order to practice different camera techniques and angles, and experiment with sound.If I was given the opportunity to re-shoot this short clip, there are a few things i would change.
Firstly, I would ensure that background noise is kept at a minimum; while we were filming this short clip, classes were going on, which increased the level of background noise. I believe that the level of background noise present in the clip, may have taken away the audience's focus from what was taking place on camera.
Secondly, I would try to incorporate some non-diegetic sound in our clip e.g sombre music to represent the characters emotion of sadness.
Finally, I would also try to use a larger variety of camera angles. For example, as the main character walks into the class room, I could use a high angle/birds eye shot; this type of shot, would emphasise the insignificance of this character to the audience. The difference in proxemics could place an emphasis on his sadness and depression, the direct result of the bullying he is experiencing. Also, using a low angle shot to show the bullies would enable the audience to understand the power imbalance between the two, while also establishing the dominance they hold over the boy and his daily life.
